The hotel served coffee, pancakes, and fruit for breakfast.
The location was a bit hard to find, it's a pitty.

The location is amazing, 1 mile from Puente de Rio Dulce Bridge. It's 10 minutes' walk from a bus stop. The dormitory room overlooks swimming pool and includes a microwave oven, coffee/tea making equipment, and a fridge...

I stumbled upon this hostel during an emergency stop and I was kinda surprised. Despite not having planned to stay here, I had a great experience. The shower was refreshing, the beds were comfortable, and they even offered free water refill. The hostel had a nice ambiance and I would choose to stay here again if I revisit the region. I recommend this hostel.

The location of this budget hotel is perfect for exploring the city, with a short walk to the center but without the noise of the main street. the small pool offers a refreshing break from the heat.
The common area was often occupied by workers, leaving limited space to relax.

The rooms at Hostal Blood Moon are cozy and comfortable, perfect for a family like ours. We loved the fact that some rooms had a patio, which provided a nice outdoor space to relax in. The kitchenware and washing machines in the double room were a great convenience for us. It felt like a home away from home, and we appreciated having our own entrance. The tea and coffee maker in the dormitory room was a pleasant surprise, and the seating and dining areas provided plenty of space for our family to hang out together. The twin/double room with the washing machine was a lifesaver for us, especially with kids. It made our stay hassle-free and allowed us to pack light. The patio in the twin room was a lovely spot to enjoy some fresh air and take in the surroundings. The kitchenette in the double room was well-equipped, making it easy for us to prepare our own meals if needed. Despite being a dormitory room, we were impressed by the cleanliness and convenience of the shared bathroom. The twin/double room with a microwave was a nice touch, giving us the option to quickly heat up snacks or leftovers.
Personally, we would have preferred a double room with a kettle instead of a microwave. But that's just our preference, others might find it useful.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The late check-in was hassle-free, the room and bathroom were spotless, and the WiFi was surprisingly reliable. Flor went above and beyond by warming up my breakfast after my meeting. The location was perfect - close to the center but away from the busy main street. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me book my boat ticket, even calling a tuktuk for me. The pancake breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, and the kitchen was clean and well-equipped. The owners were so welcoming and the facilities were top-notch, including a refreshing pool. Definitely recommend for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Rio Dulce town!

The breakfast was simple but included in the price, which was a nice bonus. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in late without any hassle. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the wifi was strong enough for me to get some work done. The pool was a game changer, especially after a hot day out. The hostel's location was ideal, within walking distance of everything I needed but still tucked away from the hustle and bustle.
Although the staff were great, the pet dogs were not used to strangers and would sometimes get agitated. The room did get quite hot at night, making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep.
